Open Letter to All South Carolina News Papers and TV Stations | THE JEENYUS CORNER

My Beautiful Family. We do not take our right to vote lightly.
All my wife and I are asking is the right to vote our conscience.

THE JEENYUS CORNER

Dear editor,

My name is Marshall Culpepper. I live in Honea Path, South Carolina with my wife, Dawn, and two children, Eric (10) and Sarah (5).

My wife and I, along with 397 others nation wide have joined in as plaintiffs in a Federal Lawsuit to importune the Courts to rule in our favor that we do indeed have an individual right to vote our conscious without conditions of filing requirements. Furthermore, our votes should be counted, recorded and reported for all to see.

You may be wondering why each of us would take such a drastic measure? It is simple really, the right to vote is a fundamental Constitutional Right that belongs to the voter, and not to the state or the candidate. For a vote to be meaningful, the voter must have the unconditional right to vote for any person they want, the choices cannot be limited by the state.

Eight states, as of this date, have settled with the plaintiffs. However, our own Attorney General, Alan Wilson has made no attempt to settle with our Attorney Richard Gilbert, thus denying us and all South Carolina voters our Constitutional Voting Rights. I call upon all South Carolina residents to take a stand for your rights and ask Alan Wilson to settle with us.

If Mr. Wilson does not settle, I hope every resident will remember, come next election, that he does not support your right to vote your conscious.

Marshall D. Culpepper
A Proud South Carolinian and American
